This is a photo taken yesterday when I visited my dentist. I guess this lovely view from the door as I entered "should" have made me relaxed!

I love the natural patterns made by nature.

29 March. Hydrangea Again

The change in seasons means the hydrangea flowers are less colourful.

28 March. Quiet Corner.

A quiet, sunny corner in my garden.

27 March. Sheltering On The Wall.

It is a drizzly day today and this fellow was sheltering on our garage wall.

26 March. Moustache Cup

In my china cabinet I have this moustache cup. It apparently protected Great Grandfather's big curly moustache from getting wet when he drank his tea.

25 March. Vapour Trail

A vapour trail overhead earlier this morning. This was once described to me by a four year old as "writing in the sky".

24 March. Coasters.

Oops! It is nearly the end of the day and I have not taken a photo specifically for my 365. So, this is one of the few I took in my class today to post on my classroom blog. We are doing a Technology Unit about how to make a coaster. This is three made by my little 5 year olds, in practise for the wooden ones they will make and paint next week. They will make lovely Mother's Day gifts in May.

These are beautiful birds in the garden outside our Local Couuncil Chambers.

22 March. View From The Lunch Table.

ICT Cluster Lead Teacher meeting today at The Honest Lawyer in Monaco. Lunch outside over looking the inlet was very enjoyable.

21 March. Suter Art Gallery

Today I took my class to The Suter Art Gallery to see Darryl Frost's pottery exhibition. We were also able to make some clay slab birds as a follow up lesson with the gallery teacher. Very enjoyable!

20 March. Gardening.

It is a lovely sunny day here today. We have been doing a bit of pruning and tidying up in he garden. I have just picked the last of the blueberries (just enough for some muffins) and the strawberries have just about finished their crop as well.

19 March. History.

Cemeteries are such interesting places. On my daily walks I often go through our local one and as I pass some of the older headstones I see how many of our original setttlers have their family names recorded in our present street names.

18 March. Black T- shirt Day

It is Black t-shirt day at school today as we continue to support the people who were in the Christchurch earthquake. As we watch the horrific images coming out of Japan at present, our daily thoughts are also with our South Island neighbours. Half of the proceeds from these shirt smany of us have bought and are wearing to work today will go to the Christchurch Earthquake Fund.

17 March. A Cloudy Day.

It has been a dull, cloudy day and rain is threatening!

16 March. Creeping Along.

15 March. The Corner Of The Playground.

Another big, old tree at the corner of the school playground.

14 March. Sculpture.

A carved sculpture by a local artist in one of our nearby parks.

13 March. Mapua.

Lunch at Mapua today. Perfect weather, awesome scenery, beautiful meal.

12 March. Mural.

I hope the artist(s) painting this mural on the wall next to one of our local churches, completes it soon as it is very interesting and incorporates many features of our region.

11 March. Nest.

Great discussions in my class today about how clever little birds are to make such wonderful nests.

10 March. Gone But Not Forgotten.

The big old oak tree in the church grounds and on the corner by our school was cut down on Saturday. Today I took my class out to see a truck loading the stump to take it away. It has certainly changed the landscape.

9 March. A Good Read.

Finally finished reading this book I started in the holidays. It is just a small book but I needed to put it a side to complete other important matters.

8 March. Old Richmond Jail.

Richmond Jail originally built 1860.

7 March. Waimea Estury

In between showers yesterday afternoon we took the dog on a walking track around the edge of the Waimea Estury. The tide was completely out.

6 March. Relection

Drizzly day. Relection in the stream at the park.

5 March. Church On The Hill.

This is the church next door to our school. We can see it from our Junior corridor.
Later today the tree at the right of the photo was cut down.

4 March. Red And Black Day.

It was Red And Black day today at school. "Go The Canterbury Crusaders!"

3 March. Rain Threatening!

Just come in from outside. The weather is supposed to turn nd we are in for heavy rain tomorrow. The clouds from the South are getting darker.

2 March. Snakes And Ladders.

Anyone for Snakes and Ladders? This is painted on our school playground for the children to enjoy.

1 March. Remembering!

Flag half mast. Two minutes silence. The National Anthem. Very sad! Christchurch we are thinking of you!
